This Privacy Policy explains how Lofty Dev, the creative and digital division of Lofty Investments, collects and handles personal information when you visit this website or contact us. It's written to align with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

- Processing limitation — we only collect what's needed to respond to an enquiry or deliver a project, and only with your knowledge (you fill in the form yourself).
- Purpose specification — your information is collected for a clear reason: responding to you and, if you proceed, delivering your project.
- Further processing limitation — we don't repurpose your information for something unrelated without asking first.
- Information quality — we rely on the details you provide yourself and will correct anything inaccurate on request.
- Openness — this policy explains, in plain terms, what we collect and why.
- Security safeguards — see Section 10 below on how your information is kept.
- Data subject participation — you can ask what we hold, correct it, or ask us to delete it (Section 9).
4. What We Collect
When you use the contact form on this website, we ask for your name, email address, the service you're interested in, and a message describing your project.
The "Business Visibility Check" quiz on this site does not collect or store any personal information — your answers and score are calculated entirely in your browser and are not sent to us or saved anywhere.
This website does not currently use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. If that changes in future (for example, adding Google Analytics), this policy will be updated to reflect it.
5. How the Contact Form Works
The contact form on this site does not submit to a server or database. When you press send, it opens your own device's email application with your details pre-filled, and the email is sent directly from your email address to ours. This means we only receive your information if you choose to actually send that email — and it's stored the same way any email you send us would be (in our inbox).
6. Why We Collect It
We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you proceed, to deliver the project you've engaged us for. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without your separate consent.
7. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. If you become a client, relevant project details may be shared with third parties directly involved in delivering your project (such as printers or signage installers), limited to what's needed to complete that work.
8. Data Retention
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you or deliver an ongoing project, and may be retained afterward for record-keeping purposes such as accounting or dispute resolution.
9. Your Rights Under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information, where we're not required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons
- Object to how your information is used
- Lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator if you believe your information has been mishandled

10. Security
Because this site has no backend database, there's no server-side store of your personal information to secure — it lives only in the emails exchanged between you and us. We take reasonable steps to keep our own email account secure.

This website is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the website or our practices change — for instance, if we later add a proper contact form backend or analytics. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
